About RA60

Running After 60 is for people who believe movement still matters — even if the miles look different than they used to.

Some visitors are returning to running after time away.
Some are starting for the very first time.
Others never really stopped — they’ve just had to adapt.

Wherever you are, you belong here.

Why Running After 60 Exists

Running after 60 isn’t about chasing personal records or reliving past glory. It’s about staying strong, capable, and confident in your own body — now and for years to come.

As we age, the message we often hear is to slow down, be careful, or maybe stop altogether. While caution has its place, so does movement. Smart, intentional running can support balance, bone density, cardiovascular health, and mental well-being — when it’s approached thoughtfully.

Running After 60 exists to help you do just that.

What You’ll Find Here

This site focuses on practical, realistic guidance for runners age 60 and over, including:

  • How to start running after 60 — even if you’ve never run before
  • How to keep running safely if you’ve been at it for years
  • Injury prevention, recovery, and listening to your body
  • Training smarter, not harder
  • Motivation, mindset, and enjoying the process

No gimmicks. No pressure. No comparisons.

Just honest experience, encouragement, and the belief that progress looks different — and that’s okay.

A Different Kind of Running Mindset

Running after 60 requires a shift in perspective. Pace matters less. Consistency matters more. Recovery isn’t optional — it’s part of training.

Here, we celebrate:

  • Showing up instead of showing off
  • Steady effort over speed
  • Long-term health over short-term goals

Running doesn’t have to be fast or far to be meaningful.

If You’re Wondering Whether You’re “Too Old”

You’re not.

You might need to move differently.
You might need more rest.
You might need to let go of how you used to run.

But you’re not too old to benefit from running — physically or mentally.

One Run at a Time

Running After 60 isn’t about proving anything. It’s about staying in motion, staying curious, and staying connected to what your body can do today.

If that sounds like your kind of running, you’re in the right place.

About Me

I’m a guy in my 60s who has been running for decades—sometimes a lot, sometimes just staying fit. Professionally, I am a Graphic Designer and Photographer, and a former Certified Personal Trainer. But fitness and wellness are passions of mine, and I stay active. By active, I mean running, yoga, strength work, biking, and generally moving around (and I’m that guy who always takes the stairs).

I like running in local races and the occasional big race like a marathon. Fitness, wellness, and a healthy lifestyle (mentally, physically, and spiritually) are the things I am passionate about. I figure, if you don’t have those, do the other, more temporal, things even matter?

In the end, I don’t have the answers. I’m sharing the journey.
